The Branch Standard was formally received by the Chairman and
committee members in a brief Service of Dedication on the evening of August the
16th at Garats Hay Barracks in Leicestershire, by kind permission of the commanding officer, Lieutenant Colonel M K Hill (Branch President).
Guests included Lady Margaret Martin (who served in the WRNS at
Bletchley Park) and the county chairmen of Leicestershire and Hampshire, with
their wives.
The Standard Bearer was John Farrell and the officiating priest,
the chaplain of the resident unit at Garats Hay, the Rev Canon Derek Buxton OCF.
