Visit to National Memorial
Arboretum On Saturday 26 July
2008 the Branch Committee met at the NMA at Alrewas in
Staffordshire. The meeting started at 1100 hours and was attended
by most of the committee. Also attending was Terry Whittles, our
representative on the Board of trustees. Several observers were
also present. After lunch the majority
of those attending toured the site, including the impressive Armed
Forces Memorial. During our visit a parade of various police and
Irish contingents took place. A visit was made to our own plot -
the 'Y' Services plot ( and not as described in the NMA guidebook as the
Y Group plot) It had recently been tidied up, but some concerns as
to the maintenance was raised. To see
